This page is written in plain English and reflects how SkillAIVibe actually works today. It is kept up to date as the site changes. If anything is unclear, contact us.

The short version

SkillAIVibe stores learning progress and preferences locally in your browser and sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics is not active on this build. When it is available, it loads only after you select Accept analytics. Rejecting it does not limit the site.

Analytics consent

When Google Analytics is configured, your choice is stored under skillaivibe:analytics-consent:v1 in local storage. It records only granted or denied. Until consent is granted, the Google Analytics component is not rendered and the browser makes no analytics request to Google. A browser Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a rejection when no earlier choice exists.

While Google Analytics is not active there is no choice to make and no Analytics settings button; both appear together if it is ever activated. Changing from accepted to rejected disables further collection by the loaded tag and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site. The saved choice also updates other open tabs. If your browser blocks local storage, the current tab honors your choice but cannot save it for another visit. Browser site-data controls can remove any remaining cookies.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics is active independently of Google Analytics and does not use cookies. Its privacy-first performance beacon provides aggregate page-view and Core Web Vitals reporting.

Google Analytics cookies

If you consent and Analytics is configured, Google Analytics may create first-party cookies such as _ga and a property-specific _ga_* cookie to distinguish browser sessions and produce aggregate traffic reports. Google receives information described in our Privacy Policy. Advertising, remarketing, Google Signals and personalized advertising are outside this implementation.

Local browser storage used by site features

These entries remain on your device and are not sent to SkillAIVibe or Google Analytics:

  • Saved items: tools and prompts you choose to save.
  • Lesson and exercise progress: completed lessons, attempts, saved editor code and practice status.
  • Daily streak: the dates on which you ran code.
  • Interface preferences: choices needed to restore parts of the local experience.
  • Icons and compiler assets: a service worker keeps the site's own icons and versioned programming-runtime files in your browser's Cache Storage, so repeat visits can reuse downloads. Runtime files are fetched when you use a compiler or show deliberate intent to open one; the homepage does not download all compilers in the background. This cache contains no learner code, page HTML or personal learning data.

The Progress page can export, import or reset learning data. Clearing site data in your browser removes local storage, analytics consent, cached compiler files and any Analytics cookies for this domain. Resetting progress through the site does not clear compiler caches; use your browser's site-data controls for that.

What is not used

There are no account, payment or shopping-cart cookies. SkillAIVibe does not use fingerprinting, social media tracking pixels or personalized advertising cookies. An analytics refusal is never treated as a refusal to use the website.
